About
Ameesia Marold is an independent curator and creative producer based in Berlin working across digital art, painting, sculpture, performance, and photography, creating exhibitions, managing artists, and writing critically about her artistic projects and beyond.
She co-founded AUTOMATA, a gallery exhibiting artists working with autonomous systems and AI, and previously was head of marketing at Bright Moments, where she helped produce over 30 exhibitions and cultural programming across ten cities worldwide, including New York, Los Angeles, Berlin, London, Tokyo, Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Paris, and Venice (2021–2024). The program culminated in a 216-work auction at Christie’s that she helped lead.
Ameesia’s practice sits deliberately between the digital art world and the traditional one, working to connect different audiences to work that challenges established categories. She is a contributor to Right Click Save, has written for Sleek Magazine, COLD Magazine, AI Art Magazine, and maintains a regular personal writing practice. Ameesia has worked with an array of artists, including recent projects with Casey Spooner, Serkan Sarier, Sven Marquardt, Geoffrey Lillemon, George Legrady, and Gene Kogan, and past projects with Holly Herndon and Mat Dryhurst, Simon Denny, Sofia Crespo, Justin Aversano, Tyler Hobbs, Casey Reas, Zach Lieberman, Mario Klingemann, Tom Sachs, Pussy Riot, Daito Manabe, and Lauren Lee McCarthy.
